Hi all

Do non bank lenders like an post money require security when applying or drawdown a personal loan too the tune of €60,000-€70,000 ?

The local credit union holds savings/shares as security when applying for loans,is the same with the likes of an post or AIB bank ?

Thanks

An Post Money loans are unsecured, so, no for them.
I'm not sure what other lenders you mean when you say "lenders like An Post Money"?
But most "personal" loans are unsecured so don't require security/collateral and are subject to other lending criteria such as credit rating, ability to repay, employment status etc.
The most common form of secured loan would be a mortgage.

Thanks for the Info clubman.
What I mean is non bank lenders like an post or maybe even avant, although I’m not sure if avant do un secure personal loans.

But does any lender lend unsecured in the €60-€70k range? It seems like a lot.
