pensions. from one work place to another

can anyone help . i am workin in hse as p/t nurse,
i transferred fron another service a few yrs ago . does my previous pension fall in to new one automatically . i have tried following it up with present and past employers but not helpful.
any one know what i should do ?

When you say you transferred from another service, can you elaborate? I take it the other service wasn't the HSE? Was it a private company? The health service of another country?
