A retired teacher with a public service pension takes up a position as a director in a private limited company. He is unpaid.. He earns approx 1500 euro per annum as an employed tutor paying tax and PRSI on that. Is any more PSRI income/tax due. He is over 66 years of age.

maybe - would need more information then this but my instinct is that nothing else is due because everything seems to be paid via the PAYE system

Firstly if he is over 66 he would not be paying PRSI so perhaps you mean USC which may come under the PRSI heading on his payslip.

As regards income tax he can take his P60 from his tutoring job together with his P60 from pension, send both off to revenue at the year end and request a Balancing Statement. They will inform him of over/underpayment
