Pension mortgage for holiday home

Hubbie is considering pension mortgage with a view to investing in a 2bed apt in Gran Canaria for our own use........not interested in letting the property really but friends & family can use it........
Looking at spending about €220k basic apt is good location.
What are the pros&cons of a pension mortgage??

Check out the many previous threads on pension mortgages and interest only mortgages (since a pension mortgage is basically an interest mortgage and a pension rolled into one product or linked together in some shape or form).
