Pension contributions & permanent health premiums - ways to claim relief?

hi there,

I have a personal regular contribution pension, and also a permanent health (i.e. income protection) insurance policy.

Is the tax relief in respect of each claimable through completion of a tax return (i.e. the standard Form 11 or 12 approach), or are there alternative, easier ways to claim for both, or either, of these policies?

Is your pension contribution arranged through your employer/payroll function? If so, you should be getting tax relief there. If not, you might want to give a bit more detail as to your circumstances (self employed, who pension plan is through or how it's administered etc.)
