Hi,

I need information on pension and pension levy please.
I am working for HSE and i pay a good amount of my salary in pension and pension levy. Is there a way to reduce pension amount? Or it helps to minimize taxes?
And what happens if someone leave HSE job, are they entitled to get back pension amount?

Thanks.

As far as I am aware, there is not. The pension and levy is based on your pensionable salary.

If you have less than two years service, you are entitled to a refund of your own contributions, less tax at 20%. If you have over 2 years, you have a deferred pension benefit that you can draw down at normal retirement age. The public service pension is unfunded, so you can't take a transfer value.
