2 points on payment or 4 on conviction plus an E80 fine.
They should lock you up and throw away the key for doing this and they should ban you from driving for 10 years.
This is not a minor offence. It could very earily result in multiple deaths and hopefully yours for being so stupid. However if you are caught doing this they will probably charge you with a raft of other offences that will easily bring your total penalty points over 6 or whatever number is needed to ban you.
I have heard, and I don't know how true it is, that people from the South are going up North and applying for and getting a UK driving license, which entitles them to drive down here. They cannot be banned or receive penalty points here.
If it is true then the law needs to be changed.
