PDF Document to Word

Hi,

I want to convert a pdf document to word format for editing - how can i go about doing this?

I have downloaded a number of programs (e.g. http://www.verypdf.com/pdf2word/index.html) and, although it does a good job of converting the file to .doc, I would have to recreate all tables, create a numbering systems, tab system etc. Since the pdf is an application form of over 400 questions this would not be an inconsiderable task!

Has anybody any suggestions? Would a design house do this for me?

(Please note i have ownership of the pdf document and there would be no issues of copyright etc.)

If it was small text edits you could edit it directly in acrobat if you had Acrobat Professional. You go to Tools>Advance editing>text touchup tool. You can then highlight text you want to change and make changes. Sometimes you are have to load the font used in the pdf into you system fonts.

If it a file you want to eventually want to send to a printers then I would definitly recommend using a design house, printers hate getting word files to print.
If there are massive changes you might be better off getting a design house to do them for you, unless you are well used to formatting things in Word. My experience of converting complicated documents from pdf to Word is that things jump around a lot.

As far as convertors - A friend has used before and found it good, but I have never used it myself so don't know much about it.

you could try www.zamzar.com I know it converts pdf text documents not sure about your tables thougth. If you dont want to edit tables then i think this should work. let me know how that works for you:)
