Hi,
I have been on Job Seekers allowance for over a year, during this period I have had the odd job working as a camera person for online videos.
Every invoice that I have received money from, I have passed on a copy to my local Social welfare office and they recently assured me that they are satisfied that I am keeping them in the loop with all extra income I make (it's been a sporadic and small source)
I am wondering which is the best and most simple way to go about notifying the revenue/filing a tax return on the income earned outside my social welfare payments.
Will it suffice to fill out a a From 12 from revenue.ie even if I am on social welfare? Or do I have to be a PAYE employee?
(The amount earned was less than €3,175)
If not, is the only other option available to register with the revenue as a sole trader and try and get the Social Welfare office to register me under the Back to Work Enterprise Allowance, which will allow me to keep my payments?
Any advice or other suggestions are much appreciated.
