Paying For Music In Shop??

Hi,

I'm opening a clothes shop in a few months and I was just wondering do you have to pay for playing music in the store?

I believe you have to pay IMRO? but someone also said you have to pay PPI rates aswell?

Does anyone know by law what you have to pay?

Thanks, but what about PPI rates?
It seems unfair if you have to pay twice?

Just do what everyone else does - do not pay untill you/if you get a letter - then just ignore it. If you respond they're mail you every year.

I assume there's a value attached to playing the music in the shop? i.e. it might make customers happy. In which case perhaps the shopkeeper is prepared to pay for it?
