Paye + self employed

Hey guys , Just wondering if any one knows if your main job is PAYE and you have a very small additional income from self employment , If you lost your job can you still claim job seekers benefit..

If you can show that you were able to deal with your self-employment while holding a full time job I see no reason why you would not get Jobseekers Benefit when you loose that full time job.
I assume you are looking for a full time job

once you can be available for full time work and you have the full amt of stamps required then i don't think there is a problem.
 
If the question is "Can I legally claim Job Seekers allowance while doing nixers and getting paid outside of the PAYE system" then the answer is "No".
 
The issue is that I have a once of very small payment of 200 euro where the tax and PRSI should have been deducted by the parents of the child that I worked for as part of the Dept of Education's July Provision. As they have not done this and as I believe in upholding the Law I Will be declaring this small sum. This is not a regular occurance, Thus the question.
