PAYE not deducted

Hi,

I started a new job in June and was being paid €3,333 gross for the month. I had not worked since January 2009 before this. No PAYE was being deducted until earlier this month. Was I receiving an allowance up to now that was keeping me outside the tax net?

You would have received your accumulated tax credits from January 2010 to October 2010 which obviously covered any tax on your pay until this month.
