Hi folks,
I am currently an Irish PAYE worker in the IT sector and am happy with the company I am working for.
I got a call a couple of days ago about a 2 month (work from home) contract in the UK which is pretty flexible which means I can work this contract around my job in Ireland.

I am livining in Ireland, and was wondering how would I manage the tax situation, as I mentioned I am a PAYE worker and how would th emoney I earn over the 2 month contract in the UK be taxed or handled.

A friend of mine suggested speaking to an Umbrella company in the UK but I was wondering if there is anyone else in a similar situation where they are resident and working as a PAYE worker in Ireland but also have contract work in the UK ??

So according to one of the Umbrella companies in the UK, they say that if I am working from home in Ireland that I cannot register with them as I would need to be living and working in the UK.

That changes my intial set of questions now to the following :
Can I continue to work as a PAYE employee and perhaps also register as a self employed contractor in Ireland, how would my earnings be calculated from a tax point of view??

Has anybody here worked as PAYE employee and contract for themselves also, and if so what is the best way to setup from a tax point of view ???
