Patio Door hard to open

My Patio door is very hard to open - really have to pull it hard to open it
Think it might not be on the runner correctly or has partically came off it

Anybody know of anybody in west dublin who could get to take look at this that is reasonable and will do a good job

Is it just recently the door is hard to open .... I find sometimes dirt or stones can get stuck under the door. Worth a check and would be cheaper than having someone call out.

When you have the door open it is normally easy (depending on the make and design!) to lift the door up about 2 inches and it will come off the rails easily. You can then clean the rails and lubricate them. Replacing the door is simply the reverse ie lift it up and hook onto the top rail runner first (maybe a 2 person job if its a big door)

That's correct, Dirac. I've done it many times myself. If you're reasonably strong, it's easy to do on your own, once you've done it once.
