Some times it is calulated for the last 3 years slary, so if you earned 20k ,25k,45k then average would be 30K then it is calulatedHi,
I am taking some paternity leave at the moment (down to a 3 day week). Obviously, this means my salary is reduced with this for the period I am taking the leave (almost 3 months).
There is a lot happening in work, outourcing and restructuring, so I was wondering, if I got made redundant, would the fact that I am earning less for the period of my paternity leave affect my redundancy payemnt, as I beleive it is calculated on average salary for a number of weeks preceeding the date of redundancy. Does anyone know if this is the case, as I am not so much worried about redundancy, just that any payment would be affecting by me currently being on paternity leave.
Thanks,
Wexfordman
You mean like these?I am of the same opinion as terrysgirl33 ... I believe that the only thing affected by parental leave is rate of pay - and that all other entitlements remain the same. I am sure Clubman will clarify this shortly with the appropriate link!
so what would your entitlements be if you where only employed for 1 and a half years?

If you have been employed for less than two years, you have no statutory right to a redundancy payment
So if I am employed two years what are my entitlements?
