Passport - is PD the beginning of my passport number - renew online?

Does anyone know if the letters PD is the beginning of my passport number can I just renew it online, or do I have to to renew as first time passport.

Each passport if different so PD may or may not be the start of your passport no. Have you had a passport previously? If you have you can renew on line if not you need to apply as first time passport holder.

Thanks for your reply! I have it ten years yesterday. Just read the following attachment earlier today.

Mine starts with two letters. Any time I have flown I have put in the letters as well as the numbers.

I was a PD too once upon a time.... until last November that is, when I renewed online with no bother. There's gotta be some good Harney or O'Malley jokes here...
