Passport card signature.

I got a passport card as well as the standard passport book. I have signed the passport book no problem but cannot sign the passport card. I have tried every type of pen on the signature line but none will work as the signature line like the card is plastic.
What happens here, will the passport card be accepted without a signature ?

I had no issues signing mine with a regular ball point pen. Is the card possibly faulty? The signature area should not be shiny plastic, it should be a rough texture similar to paper (though it is plastic).

A quick Google indicates that you cannot travel on an unsigned passport. It might go unnoticed once or twice but that's certainly not a risk I'd be willing to take!

A permanent marker will work.

Make sure to get one with a nib as thin as possible.

I had no issues signing mine with a regular ball point pen.

Same here, regular ball point and no issue signing by the X on the front.
