Parental Leave - Tax

I am considering taking Parental Leave and will be the first person in our company to test the system on this one, so I don't want to have to go the Payroll until I know the full impact on my pay pack.

Does anyone have a calculation template I could use to assess the net drop in my salary if I start taking parental leave, obviously I am aware that the maybe changes in the credits and rate in the Dec budget.

You haven;t said what form of parental leave you are taking - one day a week, or a block of time off, so no-one can give you any specific advice.

Cheers thanks this is very helpful template. I really havent decided on how I will take - it may depend on how my employer want me to take it. I have five remaining years to take them, so I am looking at taking perhaps 3 weeks per year at Easter, Hallowen and one a week during the summer. I would love to take them as a block during the school summer holidays, the won't be a runner as it is our busiest period.
