What do people think of free papers being left stuck half in half out letterbox. I think it flags people no one is home for someone living alone it could be danger of attracting burgulars.I told the delivery people not to leave a paper I would get it in the shop if I want it. Am I right or Is it being over cautious?

I emailed 2 local freebie newspapers in Galway informing them that I no longer required their newspapers to be delivered to my home. Both stopped within a fortnight eventhough the neigbours still get them.

I think it is definitely a security risk. I have a porch with a glass front door so it is obvious to everyone if there are leaflets left there when I am away. I go to the trouble of getting the An Post mailminder but it's useless if people are going to put unwanted leaflets through the front door. I get them at least every second day and anytime I see the person delivering them I ask them to stop but it always seems to be a different person the next day. It's very annoying.
