Paid Internship ?

Just wondering if internships are generally paid and if so how bad is the rate of pay ? Specifically a marketing internship.
 
Depends on the company. If they do pay the rates will be very low as it's a trainee position.
 
any advice on finding an internship? My brother is looking for a position in Marketing.

Sometimes even those that don't pay will cover the costs of expenses, ie lunch, bus pass etc
 
Is your brother in college? I did mine as part of the course. If he's in college ask his head lecturer to write a brief note confirming your brother is doing the course, has good grades etc. Send this out and follow up.

If not, write to some companies looking for experience unpaid. They will of course pay him something.
When my sister finished college, she couldn't get an interview so she came to work with me for the week, put it on her c.v and got called for interviews.
In my class of 30, a high % of people got into hotel marketing deprtments as did I, so try the big ones.
