Hi all, was entering my details this morning for a P21 balancing statement, but put in the amount before pension deductions, rather than after. I can't see anything on PAYE Anytime for editing my request. Is there anyone I can contact about this or perhaps a phone number?

Thanks

Request a second one with the correct figures but check the one you get first as they may notice that you made a mistake.

Thanks again Elcato, unfortunately they did not notice a mistake. Will have to write to them now as there does not seem to be an option to ask them to revisit the P21 with correct figures, online.

There used to be a buttom to request a P21 statement on it. Could this be used with a note attached ? To be honest I always write a letter to revenue so I have a backup copy of all correspondance. They may take a while but they get there eventually.

I think that's what I will do myself. The link to request a P21 has gone now, I think you can only click it once (open to correction). Letter it is. Thanks

Is there not a line on the actual paper P21 which allows you appeal the assessment within X days, maybe just write back and say you made an error snd are appealing the the determination. Mayby a crazy idea but I used it for a friend and there was no drama from them

There's no basis in law for an appeal against an assessment that's based on your own figures.

I'm not saying they won't fix it for the OP, but technically speaking it wouldn't be on the basis of a valid appeal, which is a whole different animal, legally speaking.

I've written off to them, so just waiting to hear back. I can see they have registered my correspondence as receive, on my PAYE anytime account.

I agree, I was just recounting what I have done and it helped when it was their piece of paper that was used.....just saying....

you can write to revenue through the My Enquiries tab on the PAYE/ROS page. very handy, they answer within few days and a copy of your request is kept on the file there - saves time and money on writing/posting letters

Sadly my experience, across 4 clients, is that this is a secure but crap system.
