Owed money by the Gardai

I am still waiting for about €300 in witness expenses from the Gardai because of a case I was involved. I am still waiting 7 months later for the money and nothing has come thru. The Gardai reckon they did all the paperwork and the money "takes time" to issue.

How long does it take? Is this money paid out locally or by central government?
 
how about writing to the local superintendent. if no luck there, then the commissioner and if no luck there I wonder if the garda complaints bureau would provoke a response. no one likes being complained and the garda handling would not like his name to come up in lihts in the complaints dept.
 
I think that your payments may likely be processed by the Finance Division at the Department of Justice.

I would suggest you contact the above first of all, at least the Department can point you in the right direction if they are not the appropriate agency.
 
Word of warning :be very carefull about making complaint about a garda .Its a long road that has no turns!!
