Overclaimed TRS

Stupidly, I totally forgot to inform the revenue when I moved abroad last year so I have received TRS for the last 1 1/2 years when I shouldnt have.

I have no problem in repaying it, my only questions is will I also have to pay them charges, penalties and interest?

There may very well be penalties. However, if you bring it to their attention yourself, rather than wait for them to discover it, you'll get much better treatment.

Some time back, I discovered there had been a relatively minor "irregularity" in my tax situation a few years previously. I rang the taxman, and explained the situation. They were very good to deal with, and I didn't end up with any penalties or interest. So you never know.
