OpenVMS & Tomcat
Is it possible to run Tomcat 4.1.24 on a Compaq Alpha Server, running OpenVMS version 7.3. I do not want to use CSWS, I would like to set it up like you would do on a Windows machine.
I have unzipped the software in the same way you would on Windows, and I have been looking into setting up a command procedure to mimic the .bat/.sh files that start/stop the application. I suppose I would like to find out if this is possible before I spend a lot of time on it.
Has anyone done this before?
Can Tomcat be run in the same way on an OpenVMS as it is on Windows or do you have to use CSWS?
Has anyone got an example of a command procedure for setup/startup?
Are there other issues that occur further down the line?
