I need to open a bank account in my own name, I already have a joint A/C with AIB, I presume its possible to open another one in my own name (with AIB) but with a second laser card to withdraw funds?
Can't see why not. Remember that you will be paying a second set of stamp duty charges for any ATM and/or Laser cards that you get (e.g. €20 for a dual ATM/Laser card).
