Hi All,
Just wondering if anyone can give me some advice about an account that we opened recently with Bank of Ireland. It is a 21 day notice account. When we spoke with BoI they never mentioned anything about the account being with their subsidiary ICS Building Society.
We received confirmation of our account and it shows an account with ICS! We don't have the full €100,00 invested but do note that ICS say in their attached correspondence that they are covered on the Deposit Protection Scheme. They don't mention anything about being covered under the Irish Government Bank Guarantee Scheme.
Are we right to be annoyed as we spoke to two different clerks who did not mention anything about ICS having any involvement.
If ICS are covered under the Bank Guarnatee Scheme then why are they sending out out-of-date Terms of Business?
