Is it possible to open a euro savings account with a European bank using a non-EU address? My wife is not from the EU, so is it possible to use her home country(Japanese) address to open a savings account in Europe.
If not, what other options may there be? I know Japanese banks have euro savings accounts, but their money transfer rates are prohibitive and they offer zero(or close to) interest rates!
