HI all, I am new to this, but I wish to open an online trading account where I can dabble in buying and selling Irish, UK and US shares ? Which sites / companies would people recommend. As I don't expect to spend more than 5K, commission costs are a high priority for me !

Appreciate any recommendations.
 

€5 is "bitesize", ie a stockbroker regards this as the minimum of a single trade.

I recommend ShareWatch, basically because it's the only CREST account I'm aware of in the Irish market.
 
I use MyTrack to trade the US market. Trades cost between $12 -$15 regardless of the quantity of shares bought or sold. You only need $500 in your a/c to start trading.
