Online tax refund

Hi there

I rang up the Revenue on Thursday as I couldn't request a balancing statement due to claiming DFSA income, and this needing to be updated on their system. Turns out I'm eligible for a €550 tax refund (!) so they said they'd lodge it directly into my bank account as they have all my details.
I'm just curious as to how long this takes usually?

no set time, if not their within 2 weeks ring out to check stage refund at

Don't understand why you could not request a balancing statement due to DSFA income.
Surely that has to be included with any other income (if it is a taxable payment). If not it has no bearing on the balancing statement
