Online stock advisors for NYSE/NASDAQ

Apologies if this topic has been covered in another thread (I did some searches but couldn't find anything relevant) - I was just wondering if anyone has any experience with online stock researchers/advisors for NYSE/NASDAQ?

There are so many - Zacks, Trader Mike, S&P, etc, etc., many of whom charge subscription fees and all of whom make wonderful claims about how good they are.

Specifically I'm talking about stock recommendations - high star ratings, strong buys, etc., as opposed to just offering data about each stock.

Any feedback on positive experiences with either free or subscription services would be appreciated.

www.morningstar.com provide a pay subscription and are a fairly good source of info about US stocks and funds, at least in my amatuer eyes. They also do ratings and recommendations based on a scorecard system that they use. Think you can get a free 10day trial, at least you used to be able to.

I used them a few years ago and was happy at the time.
