Online Home work Opportunity: Is it a scam?

Being currently unemployed like half the country, I am anxious to become self sufficient again.

This online opportunity has come into my inbox but obviously it requires a small upfront fee and for you to give them your credit card details. Regarding the latter I'm always paranoid incase I get wiped out by some fraudster.
