As someone on a tracker who is looking at the odd house at present with a view to upsizing, I was wondering if anyone knows how the bank would handle my mortgage if I did move?
Would they let me keep the tracker, or will they look to cancel it and get me on the standard variable rate?
Your present tracker mortgage will cease to exist, it must be cleared off when the house is sold so you will have to take out a new mortgage for the new house which I am fairly sure you will not be offered a tracker rate on or at least not a low tracker.
