Hi ,

I am considering offering specialised IT training (mainly security focused) to people in the field (I.T.) or those considering it. I've been doing a good deal of this or similar with my current employer for clients etc. as well as in the UK on contracts.

Just wondering though how one would go about tapping into the market here.
And yes, i do know that there are many companies offering IT training, however this is specialised, will benefit from small classs sizes and additional coaching as well if required.

Any tips welcome.

thanks

Why not offer an outsourced solution to an existing technical training company? An example of a technical training company would be something like Global Knowledge (I am not affiliated with them). They would have all the clients, contacts, sales and admin set up. If they do not have a security training capability right now, perhaps they would be willing to partner with you. There's bound to be a training company out there who would like to branch in to that end of the market and might consider a partnership or joint venture with you.

A start could certainly be to begin making a name for yourself.

Register your name as a website, and start running a security blog. Submit articles to newspapers etc. Post on forums with your website in your signature etc.
