Old Rental Expenses

Hi,

Do rental expenses have to be in the year incurred, as I have not been claiming for life assurance policy for last 6 years, and was wondering if I could claim it all back on next return?

I think you would have to send in amendments to your previous tax returns which would reduce the taxable profit and should result in a refund of tax paid.

Unfortuntely you can only claim for the last four years.
