Old Immersion tanks - can they be resold?

Hi, I think I saw it on this site some time ago that someone buys the old immersion tanks? Is this the case and if so does anyone have contact details??

Old copper hot water tanks are easily reused and probably any plumber would be interested.

When we had plumbing work done, the plumber explained that he wouldn't take away the old bath as dumping charges for tradesmen are v expensive and it would be cheaper for us to take it to the dump ourselves. Funny how he managed to fnd room in his van for the old tank though !

I recently heard that you can get €1,000 for 20 of them (ie, €50 each), but I don't know how much for just one!

Any ideas where I could sell them, is there a scrapyard that takes them?? Living in Dublin...

McGoverns in Ranelagh, get their no of Directory enquires. they are a scrap metal merchant. They also used to have a yard beside John Of Gods at memorial park entrance, Islandbridge end.
