Has anyone ever come across a house with 2 seperate heating systems - oil fired boiler for 2 thirds and back boiler on fire for remainder. If so, any advice tips on how to go about linking into '1' system would be appreciated!

Cheers

You will have to give as much detail as possible.

What type of house is it? How many floors etc?

Have you a dual coil cylinder in hotpress? I.E Do the two systems meet here? If not have you more than one cylinder?

How many radiators on combined system?

Is the oil boiler system sealed or vented?

DavyJones,

House is a bungalow, oil boiler powers 3 beds, 1 bath and 1 cloak (all with 1 rad). Back boiler fires living with 2 rads, kitchen with 2 rads and hall with 1 rad.
Pretty sure the system is vented.
Finally, i'm not too sure re. the cylinder / if they meet here etc but there is only one hot water tank in hotpress, if this helps any?

Apparently the house was originally two seperate houses!
