need them for a gardening design course to get ideas and cut out planting ideas

You could try contacting some of the magazine publishers directly to see if they have a back-issue order service. I've done that in the past.
 
ask on one of the freecycle or other freebie sites. There are loads of people who can't bear to dump these things and would like to see them put to good use.
 
posted this yesterday but it seems to have disappeared. I threw loads away weeks ago cos I couldnt find a home for them, I have still have some left, what part of country you in?
 
Long long way! In case you cant guess I'm in Kerry, if you can find anyone travelling between both places you are welcome to them.
