old age pension requirements

My mum is 63 and a housewife has never worked a paid day in her life but had the job of looking after all of us! my dad is a farmer. is my mum entitled to an old age pension?

I suspect that she may not be entitled to much.

The basic rules are that she be over 66, be subject to means test and does not qualify for a contributory old age pension.

There also other benefits like pre retirement payment .

I gues it all depends on individual circumstances.
