Oil or Wood Pellett with Underfloor heating

I am abou tto commence building a 4300 sq ft dormer bungalow and need to make some decisions regarding the heating. I've decided against the geothermal etc options and now want to go either with a high efficiency oil condensing boiler or a wood pellett boiler.
Does anyone have any experience of using either specifically with an underfloor heating system? If so what have your experiences been in terms of running costs.
We are also thinking of going with solar panels for water heating - is this wise?

Solar panels will help lower your running costs for water heating - I have wroked with alot of happy customers with solar panels installed through the SEI schemes and see a big advantage in solar water heating - it may not satisfy 100% of your heating needs but it is well worthwhile.

The best way to understand how the combination of space and water heating options is to get a building energy audit completed on your house as early in the design as possible and employ a qualified and independent assessor to rate the property and model the different options - the cost for a new home is €350, you will need to get a BER (Building Energy Rating) anyway so why not take advantage of the type of advice you are seeking.

Sorry you have not got many replies as I am thinking of replacing my 4 year old oil boiler to a condensing one and looking for views.

My installer says it will cost about 1800 euro to buy the boiler. Install after that. Will allow me something on my old one. Says the new one could save me 30% on oil. He would not recommend wood pelletts and has taken a couple out as people were not pleased. Problem with supply, can get damp and storage issues. Also store which sells them tells me sales of them have dropped greatly.

I regretted not going for Geotherm. Have tiles on a lot of floors and it would have worked well, retaining heat, but was planning a bit before advancements in Geotherm. My builder has it in his own new house, mansion, and swears by it. Very economical and runs the pumps at night on low rate electricity.
