Hes hsould go down there straight away tbh. Get his stamps organised etc. Might make all the difference to a pension in future years.

Presume dutz means what entitlements can be got that they don't already know about!!! What about trying to get fixed up with another job????

It is not that easy in today's market. A friend of mine is out of work since June and the agencies do not even have temping work, despite her being prepared to work for a pittance at this stage to keep herself sane.

You are entitled to a Stautory redundancy. This will be paid regardless (dending on OH service to company)

This site will be very usefull, get OH to give them a call so he knows his rights. Small things like employer has to allow for days/time off for interviews etc..also check out the Redundancy calculator. (if havent already)
