Audit is no better or worse than most jobs. Everyone has their own opinion on it's merits/drawbacks. It's probably no more boring than anything else at certain times.
If it's with a well-known/'reputable' firm, it will probably stand to you in the future.
€38k doesn't sound bad for a 12 month contract outside Dublin.
Most audits will be performed by an audit team unless it is a very small audit. & while the job itself isnt exactly riviting you can have a bit of fun depending on the audit team.
Although internal audit is different from external audits- & internal auditors do tend to be a bit segregated from the rest of a company.
I dont think 38K is partucularly good for an audit position in DUBLIN, are you qualified or still part qualified. If not qualified it would be ok, and if you need experience in that area it would be good, most smaller accountants would prefer if you had a broad range of training rather than specialist in one area.
To be honest I think that money is appalling for a Dublin based role. I presume you are qualified. Look around a bit more - you will find something much better paid
