I'm not sure when they've launched them but I was on the o2 site today and noticed their new o2 Clear price plans. Which aren't actually that clear to be honest...
Does anyone have any more information on them? I'm slightly confused as to whether my existing plan is still active or if I'm now on a clear plan. Or are they the same? I'm confused

The new Clear plans launched today (May 20th) and a pretty competitive!!
If you choose an 18-month contract, as opposed to a 12-month contract this reduces your monthly tariff.
They are also offering a SIM-only option, which allows you to keep your existing mobile and go on Post-pay with no contract. The only condition is that you must give O2 Customer Care 30-days cancellation notice in writing.
If you are an existing O2 Customer on one of the older Active Life/Easy Life plans, then no you will not be migrated onto an O2 Clear plan unless you request to do so.
O2 now have a customer forum for any questions you may have about Clear;

I'm also very confused- about the experience plan they brought in for pay as you go. I'm not sure if I'm on it or if it is compulsory. An o2 person rang me up and it was almost as if they were trying to trick me into moving on to it by asking me which 10 friends for free I would like when that's actually only part of the new plan and not the nightowl plan I am actually on. It's 49c a minute to all other networks and barely anyone I know is on o2 anymore!! After being with o2 for years I am definitely switching, checked out the clear plans and they aren't actually that great, you can't even carry over minutes and voicemail comes out of the minutes, not very competitive at all!! Also I checked out the 'forum' and it's quite embarrassing, every question put to them on pricing is given a cringeworthy response that involves getting o2 sim cards for all your friends rather than actually addressing the issues.
But someone from o2 rang me a few months ago and put me on an 18 month contract with free extra minutes, and minutes that worked while in the UK or NI so I'm not sure what I'm on anymore. I've talked to the guys in store and they're none the wiser.
Any unused inclusive voice minutes and/or inclusive texts will not be carried forward to the following month. Existing customer transferring to an O2 Clear price plan will lose accrued allowances.
