NTL Digital - How to turn off sub-titles?

Morning folks,
Got NTL digital just before christmas and I am plagued with sub-titles coming on all the time. I've worked out how to turn them off each time i flick to a channel but does anyone know how to turn them off permanently?

We had the same problem when we got NTL digital installed a while back.
Press the menu button on the remote then go to:
Settings -> Preference settings -> Change Subtitle language to Off

thanks for that eeyore, its been driving me nuts!

I know it was driving me nuts as well. I really can't understand why they are installing these boxes with the subtitles permanently on by default.
