not sure if this is in the right forum but here go's

i'm renting a property and will be here 1 year next week
the rent is in arrears because there was issues with the house which the landlord didnt seem bothered to fix
how long of a notice should i get taking into the arrears owed, i had a look around and see that its 42 days for 1 year or more but i dont think that is right if there is arrears
thanks for any help

If your rent is in arrears then you are in breach of your tenancy conditions, which means the landlord is legally obliged to give you 28 days notice of termination.

28 days is correct, check out the Residential Tenancies Act 2004, I think it is in Section 32 or thereabouts
