Due date for rent was incorrect Joint lease with my flat mate – I rented independently and am not interested in a joint lease. My flatmate signed it and didn’t cross out my name. I meant to ring the Landlord but forgot. I am now moving out and wonder what sort of notice period I have to give him.

S Speedwell Registered User Messages 270 13 Jul 2009 #2 I would presume you would still give him a months notice. If you have been there since 2002 I think the least you can give him is a month. I would call him and explain that you are leaving. Did he not call you to ask why you did not sign the lease?
