Nordman profile roof tiles

Im getting a small conservatory converted into a sun room and am thinking of getting a nordman profile roof as it is lightweight. Has anyone any experience of this type of roof?

We have a cottage which has a full nordman profile roof(thatch was removed and nordman sheeting put on before we bought it) it looks the business as most people ,(even us) didn`t even notice its not tiles til you tell them.We find it very easy to maintain ,not sure what the pricing is like on it though.

We had this on our extension in a previous house, we had to go for it because the pitch on the roof was too low for the size of the extension (at least as far as I can remember that was the reason), anyway, no problems with it all, looked well, if I did have to pick out something it might be that it can be a little noisy when it's lashing rain or hail stones.

We have a full nordman profile roof on our holiday home and it has given no problems

Just wondering do these roof tiles work out expensive? Roof on shed is leaking for years now and needs replacing. Is the [broken link removed] better but a lot more expensive?

Yes - i have experience with this roof. A bad experience. I ran into problems with the roof pitch. Nordman state that a 4 degree angle is sufficient to allow water to drain off the nordman roof. I had a 7 degree angle and discovered that water tended to remain on the roof (due to the shape of the tile sheets). customer service was non existent - i asked for a technical rep to visit my house several times with no success. This company (based in Kilrush Co Clare) will sell you the product but they don't want to know about any problems with the product. It was an expensive mistake to buy nordman. I found that it tended to be noisy when it rained too. Trying to get a roofer who knows how to fit nordman is very difficult too. Any roofer that i spoke to recommended that i change nordman to a flat roof. i.e they wern't impressed.
