Are there days off (not 'holiday' days) to look after a family member when they are sick?
 
Depending on the circumstances you may be entitled to 'Force Majeure' leave or possibly carers leave.

Some of the main provisions of the Carer's Leave Act are:


  • here is a minimum service requirement, i.e., an employee is required to have 12 months continuous service with his/her employer in order to be eligible to apply for carer's leave'
Does it qualify if the employee has worked for 12 month on a temporary contract and is currently signing a permanant contract with the sdame employee.
