I understand that if a Non EU National decides to reside in Ireland and work.. they are given an ID/Permit...they are also provided with a Stamp rating from 1 to 4...
Can anybody clarify what each of the individual stamps mean?
And will any of the prime lenders accept anything less then a Stamp 4 for mortgage purposes?
Does anyone know a website that can explain these stamps in detail?
? I can't find anything about any "stamp rating". Unless you mean this? For what it's worth a Russian couple who I know (married with two Irish born kids now as it happens) had no problem getting a mortgage with a regular lender a few years ago.
*I think* Stamp 1 is a work permit for a specific company, Stamp 2 (or is it 3?) is something to do with education and Stamp 4 allows the person to work/live here permanently and apply for cizitenship. For mortgage purposes only people with Stamp 4 income will be taken into account. I'm sure someone will be able to fill in the gaps!
