Noisy bathroom extractor vent cover

Hi,

The external cover on my ensuite extractor fan is the type that has a flap on it. My problem is that if it is windy, it bangs off itself and makes a very annoying tapping sound which can be heard in the bedroom.

Does anyone know of any alternative one way outside vent covers that are not noisy?
 
you probably have the one that has one large circular flap which is only generally used down low for venting driers, local hardware will have one with 4 small flaps which is a good deal better, diy job to fit
 
Yeah, the one I have has a large circular flap and a sloped cover on that presumably for rain. I have seen the other types but they look quite flimsy (the flaps). The side of the house is quite exposed to winds. But I will have a look again. Thanks...
 
I have used the ones with the 4 small flaps and I have the same problems. On a windy night it makes a right racket from the ensuite vent.
