No longer in ROI, sold my rented property to neighbouring LA, now LA looking for €200

Hello,

May I ask two questions here about the Non Principal Private Residences Tax (NPPR)?

I'm no longer living in the Republic and I sold my rented property nearly 3 years ago and the NPPR are looking for € 200.

I sold the property to the local county council. A neighbouring county council are now looking for the fee to be paid. They want me to provide evidence I no longer own the property.

A) Why should I have to do this? Is there not a list of registered owners of properties and....
B) How do I prove I no longer own the property if I must?

Write back to them giving your Solicitor details and he can answer the questions as he handled the sale
